The climactic battle against the giant Enceladus takes place on Mount Diablo. Jason, Piper, and Leo confront the giant here to rescue Piper's father.

Wolf House (Jack London State Historic Park)

Lupa's Wolf House

The ruins of Jack London's Wolf House serve as the lair of Lupa, the wolf goddess who trains Roman demigods. Hera is imprisoned here by Gaia's forces, and the final battle of The Lost Hero takes place at the ruins.

The ancient Roman Colosseum where the demigods battle monsters. The underground hypogeum still holds ancient threats connected to the mythological world.

The small island in the Tiber River, historically associated with healing. In the ancient world it was dedicated to Aesculapius, the god of medicine.

Castel Sant'Angelo

The ancient fortress originally built as Emperor Hadrian's mausoleum. Connected to dark mythological forces in the Riordanverse.

Underground Rome

The Athena Parthenos Chamber

Annabeth navigates the dangerous tunnels beneath Rome alone to find the Athena Parthenos. She faces Arachne in a cavern deep underground before the floor collapses into Tartarus.

Acropolis of Athens

The Acropolis and Parthenon are the site of the final battle against Gaia's giants. The demigods and gods unite here for the Gigantomachy, the climactic battle of the series.

Delos (Birthplace of Apollo and Artemis)

The sacred island where Apollo and Artemis were born. The demigods visit Delos during their Aegean journey in The Blood of Olympus.

Ithaca

Ithaca (Home of Odysseus)

The legendary island home of Odysseus. The demigods visit Ithaca during their journey through the Greek islands.

Epidaurus

Sanctuary of Asclepius

The ancient healing sanctuary of Asclepius. The demigods seek the physician's cure here, which plays a crucial role in the final battle.

Sparta

The ancient warrior city-state. The demigods pass through Sparta during their journey across Greece.

Pylos

Palace of Nestor

The ancient Mycenaean palace of Nestor. The demigods encounter ghostly warriors near Pylos during their journey.

Grand Canyon Skywalk

The opening scene of The Heroes of Olympus series. Jason, Piper, and Leo are on a school field trip to the Grand Canyon Skywalk when storm spirits (venti) attack and Coach Hedge reveals himself as a satyr.

Great Salt Lake

The Argo II passes over the Great Salt Lake area during the cross-country journey from Camp Jupiter to Rome.

Georgia Aquarium

The massive glacier in Alaska near where the giant Alcyoneus has his lair. Percy, Frank, and Hazel journey to Alaska to free Thanatos and defeat the giant.

San Juan

Reyna's hometown and the site of her backstory. Reyna and Hylla grew up near the old San Juan area before their encounter with Circe and eventual journey to Camp Jupiter.

Pillars of Hercules

The strait between Spain and Morocco, known in mythology as the Pillars of Hercules. The Argo II must pass through to enter the Mediterranean, facing Hercules himself as a guardian.

The Argo II stops near Bologna where the demigods encounter the Kerkopes, mischievous monkey-dwarf creatures who steal from them.

The Argo II crew explores Venice where they battle Katobleps (death-breathing cows) in the canals and encounter the demigod farmer-god Triptolemus.
